Fire consumes shed, truck in Chaffee

CHAFFEE -- An afternoon fire in Chaffee burned down a shed, totaled a truck and damaged an electrical pole, but left a home on the same property intact. No one was injured in the blaze at 111 W. Parker Ave. Chaffee Fire Department chief Sam Glency said a person was working on a vehicle at 2:49 p.m., when its carburetor backfired and the car engine ignited.
