A special pool gave visitors the opportunity to get a closer look at some of the fish brought in during the Twisted Cat Tournament which was part of the New Madrid Fall Festival on Saturday. After a brief swim in the pool, the catfish were returned to the river.

It only takes one bite to be a winner. Austin Cunningham and Kristen Boaz hauled in the biggest fish at the Twisted Cat Tournament at New Madrid on Saturday. Cunningham hands the fish, which weighed 61.44 pounds, over to officials for the weigh-in.

Several cars and trucks were on display during the car show conducted as part of the New Madrid Fall Festival on Saturday. The event also included a "touch a truck" event where the public had the opportunity for a closer look at a variety of vehicles including an ambulance, police car and tow truck.

Jaxon, left, and Mason show off their stringer of fish during the youth fishing rodeo at New Madrid on Saturday. The boys, with the help of their father, Dakota Trevino, both earned honors. Jaxon had the most fish in the 1-6 age group and Mason's 55 pounds of fish was recognized for the catch with the overall most weight.

The local team of Jerry Whitehead, Jimmy Burton and John Troutt took overall owners at the Twisted Cat Tournament at New Madrid on Saturday. Whitehead hands over one of the five fish the team caught during the weigh-in. The team recorded a total catch weighing 118.95 pounds.
