NEW MADRID -- The New Madrid County Central - St. Pius X quarterfinal baseball game scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today has been postponed due to the weather. It is rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

ORAN -- The Oran Eagles enter Wednesday's Class 1 Quarterfinal with Naylor looking for their third straight trip to the final four. Oran is coming off two-straight third-place finishes in state and Wednesday will represent the third-straight time the two teams have faced in the quarterfinals with Oran winning the last two meetings...

HOLCOMB -- The Chaffee Red Devils rode an impressive start from junior Cody Payne to a 2-0 win over Valle in sectionals and are now set to face host Holcomb today at 4 p.m. in the quarterfinals. It's the Red Devils first trip to the quarterfinal since 2001 and they'll be facing a familiar adversary in the Hornets, who they beat 4-3 in the Malden Tournament earlier this season...

NEW MADRID -- Representing the area in Class 3 will be the New Madrid County Central Eagles, who are already in uncharted waters just by making the quarterfinals. They're continuing their improbable run following their first District 1 title since 1994 and their first sectional win in school history on Monday with a 7-1 decision over Scott City...
