I believe that there is a wind of change starting to blow through our nation. Maybe, it is just my hope that the wind of change is blowing, whatever it is I pray that it will continue. The blowing wind that I am referring to is that the last two movies that I have seen, I have been able to walk out of the theater without hearing a foul word in the movie. In searching my memory I cannot recall the last time, or any time that I can remember that happening...

Bloomfield's Beta Club state officer success continues

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- It has become a tradition for the Bloomfield Senior Beta Club to have an officer at the state level. A Beta Club member has held one of those positions for all but one of the last 13 years. Lindsey Young, a junior at Bloomfield, is now the president-elect of the Missouri Beta Club. She won the position at the recent Senior Beta Club Convention at Branson and will take office July 1. Kendra Elder, a senior, is the current State Secretary, having won the election last year...

New assignments released for high school basketball districts for 2015 & 2016

The Missouri High School Activities Association announced class and district alignments Saturday for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. Class assignments are based on school enrollments. According to MSHSAA's website "the 128 schools with the smallest enrollments make up Class 1. The next 128 schools would make up Class 2, with the next 128 making up Class 3. The next 96 largest enrollments make up Class 4, while Class 5 includes all of the remaining schools."...
