The recent round of winter weather struck Friday's high school sports schedule forcing many postponements. The final round of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament held in Scott City was pushed back to Wednesday, Jan. 27, with the same start times. The championship game between top-seeded Scott County Central and No. 3 Scott City will be at 7:45 p.m. No. 2 East Prairie will play second-seeded Oran for third place at 6:30 p.m. The junior varsity title game will begin at 5 p.m...

I wanted to speak out about the raises that the policemen got. I realize that it said they had gotten a $3,000 raise already. I notice that you didn't print how much of a raise they were going to get that was approved by the city council. When they were asking the public to vote on the sales tax I noticed that they were quick to put the salaries of all of the other police around were getting but they didn't put the Sikeston police salary in there. ...
