CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A Charleston man faces charges after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend with a broom. Jeffrey A. Groves, 50, is charged with felony first degree domestic assault, according to online court records. SIKESTON -- A Morehouse man died after being struck by a vehicle early Monday in Sikeston. At 5:47 a.m. Monday, officers with Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to a motor vehicle crash where James Hopper, 29, of Morehouse was walking along Highway 60 near Keystone Drive and was struck by multiple vehicles and killed, according to Sgt.
