Ribbon cutting: La Ruleta

A ribbon cutting was recently held at the new location of La Ruleta. The business is now in the building that was previously occupied by Simply Swirled at 1189 S. Main. The new location comes with the same great service that owner, Mercedes Lemus (pictured center) has provided since serving up the first order of chicken nachos in Sikeston while working at El Tapatio. He and his family opened La Ruleta nine years ago, and just last week made the move to the new location which features a drive-through window. Winning members of Richland High School's Future Business Leaders of America smile as they display their medals following the FBLA District 16 Leadership Conference in Malden on Friday, Feb. 9. Richland had a total of 23 students place in the competition with 18 of them qualifying for the FBLA State Leadership Conference in April. Richland's Halle Swallows (front row, far right) was elected as the 2018-2019 FBLA District 16 President.
