  • Speakout (Opinion ~ 08/15/20)
While shopping at a small town grocery store near me this is what I experienced. Standing in front of steaks that I wanted to purchase were two of the store’s butchers. They were shoulder-to-shoulder with their face masks hanging completely below their chins. As were the face masks of all the store’s other employees. Very few customers had masks as well. Walmart employees wear their masks on their faces, covering their noses and mouths and customers, in compliance with Walmart store policy, wear masks too. For safety’s sake I’ll shop Walmart and avoid what I now call COVID-central. And to the Stoddard County grocery store – just take the masks off. Hanging them from your chin makes no sense.
