SIKESTON — Edd “Dwight” Vaughn, 82, passed away on Sept. 5, 2020, at his childhood home in Sikeston. Born July 11, 1938, in Sikeston, son of the late Ruth Blackshare Vaughn and Squire Spence Vaughn, Dwight was a jack of all trades. Following his father’s footsteps, he began farming at a young age. He also assumed many additional roles over the years including truck driver, grain buyer, dirt mover, auctioneer and expert fabricator, among others. But perhaps his favorite was that of an entertainer—a role that came easy to the youngest of many siblings.
