CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Linda Nell Manes, age 68, passed away on Oct. 12, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born on May 28, 1953, in Sikeston, Missouri, to the late Clyde “Peck” and Treva Williams Wisdom. On Oct. 10, 1969, in Tiptonville, Tennessee, she married Terry Manes who survives of the home in Essex, Missouri. They were happily married for 52 years...

Over 100 people attended the first weekend of the Harvest Gospel Music Festival Oct. 10 at Lincoln Park in Sikeston. The music festival will continue from 4:30 pm to 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at Lincoln Park.
