After a horrible weekend, I went shopping at the Dollar Tree where currently all items are $1. Standing in the checkout lane to pay for the items in my cart, the woman behind pointed out to the cashier she had not rung up my candy bar. Since I was ready to leave, I just told her to just forget it and she put it back. The lady behind me, no I don’t know her name, told the cashier to ring up the candy bar along with the items she was purchasing and to hand the candy bar to me. I was shocked and surprised and so pleased a stranger had done this for me. I thanked her, took the candy bar and gave her a hug and another thank you. I had had a bad week where a motorist in Sikeston, where I have lived for many years, ran a red light and hit me in my car. I reminded myself there are really good people who live here. To the lady who bought me a candy bar, again a big thank you for your kindness you showed to someone you did not know.
