Dear community, Thanks to each of you that helped to make this 16th East Prairie Elementary School (Doyle) blood drive a huge success. This year 191 came out and braved the weather, and 172 units were considered productive and on its way to save 516 lives. Throughout our 16, we have collected over 3,393 units of blood saving 10,179 lives! We are the largest “pint-sized hero” drive in the nation...

I noticed the Legislature and governor is giving the state workers a 8.5% pay raise because Missouri is so cheap it can’t higher enough workers, but it is doing nothing for the teachers. Missouri has one of the lowest pay scales in the nation for teachers. And the Missouri budget is full because of the Biden money that was sent to the states. What a shame.

Sikeston man sentenced to 15 years in prison for bank robbery

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – A Southeast Missouri man was sentence to 15 years in prison for a 2020 bank robbery in Sikeston. Keith Lamar Dunlap, 56, of Sikeston was sentenced on Thursday, March 16 to 15 years in federal prison for robbing the Citizens Bank of Sikeston on Oct. 30, 2020. Dunlap was also sentenced to serve a consecutive term of 12 months in federal prison for violating his supervised release in a 2013 bank robbery case.
