BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. -- Lee Ray Jr., 62, formerly of Haywood City, Mo., died Oct. 21, 2004, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville.

Born July 4, 1942, in Tippa County, Tenn., son of the late Lee and Lacy Ball Ray, he was of the Baptist belief.

He was formerly married to Jannie Moore.

Survivors include: three sons, Hubert Ray of Cape Girardeau, Billy Ray of Sikeston, Mo., and Jeffrey Ray of Blytheville; two daughters, Amanda Pearson of Sikeston and Stephanie Maney of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three brothers, Hubert Ray of Osceola, Ark., Robert Jones of Sikeston and Chris Payne of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Betty Shields of Brownville, Tenn., Virginia Wright, Louise Ray and Mary Ann Jones of Chicago and Lorene Lucky of Cape Girardeau; 17 grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren; and a special friend, Sheryl Luster of the home.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Christ Sanctuary Church of God in Christ at Bell City, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Alex Sims will officiate, assisted by Elder Elisha Pullen.

Burial will follow in the Haywood City Cemetery at Haywood City.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
