Woman attacks husband with screw driver

CARUTHERSVILLE - A woman is in custody after assaulting her husband with a screwdriver.

Pemiscot County sheriff's deputies were called to a residence on Highway 412 in reference to a domestic assault. Upon investigation they learned the 20-year-old wife had assaulted her husband with the screw driver.

She was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail where she is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action. Bond was set at $20,000.

Also deputies took two Portageville men in custody on Monday in connection with the theft of speakers and a speaker box from the Paul Jones residence in Hayward.

The 24-year-old man is being held in the Pemiscot County jail in lieu of $3,500 bond on charges of stealing and receiving stolen property. A 17-year-old man is charged with stealing and his bond is set at $1,000.
