Mary Hart

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. - Mary Collins Hart, 73, passed away Jan. 25, 2003, at her home.

She was the widow of Winfred C. Hart, who passed away in 1984.

Born in Sikeston, Mo., she was the daughter of William H. Cowan and Julia Cowan Bilderback.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Reburt Burns, Paul Burns, James "Mutt" Burns and William H. Cowan.

Mrs. Hart was an inspector for 30 years at Cyclops Corporation in Kennett Square, retiring in 1988. A member of the Full Gospel Apostolic Church for 45 years, she was a Sunday school teacher, worked in the church food bank and was head of the missionary department for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and traveling.

She is survived by a sister, Janice Lloyd of Norcross, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews, including Jo Ellyn Mayfield of Las Vegas, Nev., Michael A. Cowan of Morrilton, Ark., and Eddie and Stephanie Burns of Huntsville, Mo.; and a stepdaughter.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Hart's life celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Full Gospel Apostolic Church, 430 E. South St. in Kennett Square. Her funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. today at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kuzo and Gofus Funeral Home Ltd. of Kennett Square, a "life celebration" home.
