E.P. ends four-game skid against Rebels

EAST PRAIRIE -- The East Prairie Eagles posted their third win of the season Friday night, beating Richland 69-52. Jordan Sanders iced six 3-pointers in the win, finishing with 22 points. Matt Boyer hit three treys and scored a game-high 25.

For Richland, Mike Harlan led the way with 20 points followed by James Wheeler with 12 and Timmy Gregory with 10.

East Prairie (3-4) will play Dexter in the first round of the Bloomfield Tournament on Thursday at 11:15 a.m.

Richland (0-5) will face Twin Rivers in the Bloomfield Tournament on Thursday at 10 a.m.

BENTON -- Chris Romas scored 17 points and Major Burger added 16, leading Kelly to a 73-51 win over Woodland on Friday night.

The Hawks trailed 15-14 after the first quarter, but outscored the Cardinals 22-10 in the second frame and never looked back.

Behind Romas and Burger, Lance Scheffer scored 13 points for the Hawks. For Woodland, Alex VanGennip led the way with 13 points, followed by Travis Benfield with 11.

Kelly (3-3) will face Advance in the first round of the seMissourian Tournament on Thursday at 9 p.m.

BELL CITY -- The Bell City Cubs improved to 6-1 on Friday night, blistering Bernie 83-55.

Dominitrix Johnson hit three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 27 points, followed by Eric Henry with 23 points. For Bernie, Darius Wooldridge scored 17, hitting four 3-pointers. Zack Dill scored 16 points and Chad Wooldridge contributed 10.

Bell City will face Woodland in the first round of the seMissourian Holiday Tournament on Thursday at 6 p.m.

CHAFFEE -- Chad Wiseman and Brad McKlin each scored 17 points, leading Zalma to a 60-52 win over Chaffee on Friday night. The Bulldogs trailed 40-32 heading into the fourth quarter, but outscored Chaffee 28-12 in the final frame to pull out the win.

For the Red Devils, Sam Burnett scored 18 points, followed by James Reischman with 16 and Brent Thomason with 10.

Chaffee (0-3) will face Charleston in the first round of the seMissourian Holiday Tournament on Thursday at 9 a.m.

SCOTT CITY -- Scott City kept its unbeaten streak alive, defeating Advance on Friday, 70-54. Tyler Ward scored 16 points and Jeremy Schlosser added 15 for the Rams. D.J. Walton contributed 10.

For Advance, Zach Kelley led the way with 18 points. Jared Ritter was held to nine.

Scott City will play Meadow Heights in the first round of the seMissourian Holiday Tournament on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Advance will face Kelly in the tournament on Thursday at 9 p.m.

FARMINGTON -- Ryan Delph scored 14 points and Scott Chestnutt added 11 as Cape Central defeated Farmington on the road Friday night, 65-51.

The Tigers jumped out to a 20-10 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, coasting to the 14-point victory. David King led Farmington with 13 points, followed by Andy Mell with 11 and Andy Massey with 10.

Cape Central will face Leopold in the first round of the seMissourian Holiday Tournament on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

JACKSON -- Tyler McNeely scored 18 points, leading Jackson to a 52-36 win over Kennett on Friday night.

Kennett struggled against Jackson's defense, scoring just four points in the first quarter, 12 in the second, 11 in the third and nine in the fourth.

Tyree Goolsby paced Kennett with 12 points. Jackson will face Delta in the first round of the seMissourian Holiday Tournament on Thursday at noon. Kennett will play Greenville in the Bloomfield Tournament on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

MALDEN -- Steven Thomas scored 22 points and Herman Rogers added 19, leading South Pemiscot to a 64-61 win over Malden on Friday night.

The Bulldogs led 39-25 at halftime. The Green Wave rallied in the second half, but came up three points short.

Richard Marks led Malden with 14 points, followed by James Farr with 13.
