VENTURA, Calif. - Doris Lorine Clark, 83, died Dec. 7, 2004, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura.

Born June 9, 1921, at Canalou, Mo., to the late James and Hattie Alberson Lawson, she had lived in Missouri before moving to California many years ago. Also she lived in Arkansas before returning to California two years ago. She worked for 14 years as a nurse's aide at the St. John's Hospital in Oxnard.

On March 6, 1943, she married Elmer E. Clark, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2002.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Diane Clark of the state of Michigan, Michael and Rebecca Clark of the state of Washington and Ron Clark of the state of Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and George Hodges of Ventura; one brother, Jim Lawson of the state of Missouri; three sisters, Lou Baird and Treva Porter of the state of Michigan and Ruth Mouser of Essex, Mo.; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Doyle Corlew of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will be in the Essex Cemetery at Essex.
