One currently in custody, another sought

SIKESTON -- A shooting in the early morning hours Saturday has left one Sikeston man dead, another arrested and police looking for a third.

At 2:26 a.m., Trevor Neal was shot during a noisy controversy with several other males at Dixie and Osage streets in Sikeston. The shooting was discovered by Sikeston Department of Public Safety officers when Neal was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center. Officers were already at the hospital providing extra security following the shooting of five people in Charleston earlier in the evening.

Neal died at approximately 9 a.m. Sunday.

DPS officers arrested Justin Robinson of Sikeston for his part in the shooting at about 11 p.m. Saturday and are still searching for a second individual.

"It appears that there was an earlier fight between the victim and Robinson and another individual who is currently being sought," said Lt. Mark Crocker of Sikeston DPS.

Charges against Robinson were pending at press time.
