Shirley Cobb

ESSEX - Shirley Ann Baker Cobb, 63, died Dec. 28, 2004, at her residence in Essex.

Born Oct. 14, 1941, to Mary Bessie Purcell Cobb of Dexter and the late Robert Harold Woodruff, she was a former employee of Elder Manufacturing in Dexter and a resident of Essex most of her life.

In 1958 at Dexter, she married Kenneth Baker, who preceded her in death on March 16, 1985. In 1986 at Essex she married Charles Cobb Jr., who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Edward Mike Baker; one daughter, Charlotte Ann Baker; and one brother, Billy Woodruff.

Surviving in addition to her mother are two sons, Kenneth Allen Baker of Essex and Jimmy Ray Baker of Pocahontas, Ark.; one sister, Linda Wallace of Heartland, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. David Hardin will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
