Look at Sikeston's future when voting

I've voted in enough elections to know that not all are as critical as the news media might make it seem. Having said that, Tuesday's vote in Sikeston to approve a one-cent sales tax for a number of projects and programs here is indeed one of those critical times. The impact of the sales tax will actually be a half-cent since the city has pledged to remove two smaller taxes that residents currently pay. And property taxes for city residents would also be reduced if Tuesday's vote is successful.
