Speakout 3/29

I am calling in regards to the article on a good daycare. The Lighthouse Christian Daycare on North Kingshighway in Sikeston is a wonderful atmosphere for children. It is owned and operated by Tracy Canard. This is a very clean and loving home for any child. Mrs. Tracy does treat her daycare children as her own. I'm not sure of her business hours but she has been highly recommended to us.

I was watching the Kenny Rogers Telethon and the band Terry Mike Jeffrey was really entertaining and I was wondering where they are from and if they are playing anywhere regularly where you could go visit and watch them.

The group is from Paducah, Ky. You can go to their Website for details.

I have a question I was wondering if anyone could answer for me. I bought two boxes of Girl Scout cookies here in Sikeston and they were $3.25 a piece. Then I bought eight boxes in St. Louis and they were only $3 a piece. I thought the Girl Scouts was one organization so can anyone tell me why the cookies are a quarter more here in Sikeston than they are in St. Louis?

We have a new cafe in Miner that the ladies from ABC store and the food is great. I have been there three times and really enjoyed it although it is starting to get really crowded in there but well worth it. Jenny and Teresa are there and the lady from Bo's as waitresses so this is good too. We just wish we had a real ABC store now. Everybody needs to come to Miner, that is where the new cafe is at and it is really good.

I have a new name for Mr. Bush. I call him Robin Hood. He robs from the poor and gives to the rich. He and Mr. Chaney should be very, very rich men when their three years are up, they are sure working hard at it. How can they sleep at night knowing what they are doing to the poor and elderly and the small children that can't help themselves? It looks like they may have to build more nursing homes to put all of us people in because we are going to need a place to stay. But then again, that won't bother them, we will just live out on the streets I guess. You know, they take care of dogs and animals better than us humans. How can they call themselves Christians? I never have heard of the kind of Christian people they are. It sure is not right, I believe. I would actually be ashamed if I was them.

I think Mr. Bush, Congress and all government should stay out of the Schiavo life-support case. That is trouble now. The government stepping in and it is none of their business. Let the girl die in peace. When it is her time to die she will die. She has no life and hasn't had one for 15 years. It is a shame the government has gotten to where they want to run more of people's lives. I don't think it is right. Mr. Bush and Congress need to nose out of a lot of people's business.
