FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Clifton Haney Jr., 53, formerly of Howardville, Mo., died May 7, 2005, at Parkview Memorial Hospital.

Born March 10, 1952, in Portageville, Mo., son of Josephine Hamer Haney of Howardville and the late Clifton Haney Sr., he graduated from Lilbourn High School in 1971 and moved to Indiana in 1973. He retired from Troy Laundry and was of the Catholic belief.

In addition to his mother, other survivors include: four daughters, Shanna Tillman of Columbia, Mo.; and Cathay McDonald, Kishia Johnson and Cliffunya Haney of Fort Wayne; six brothers, Robert Haney and Charles Haney of Fort Wayne, Doug Haney of Howardsville, Dewayne Haney, Ricky Haney and Gary Haney of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; four sisters, Minnie Johnson and Joyce Thomas of Fort Wayne and Michelle Hopkins and Betty Roston of Portageville; and eight grandchildren.

One brother, Tommy Haney; and a grandson, Darreis Haney, also preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from noon Saturday until time for services scheduled for 1 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Marston, Mo. The Rev. Kirk Dunnaviant will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mason Cemetery at Point Pleasant.

Williams Funeral Home of Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
