SpeakOut 6/18

Tuesday, June 18, 2002

Whoever took the tent off my front porch in Morehouse, I sure wish they'd bring it back.

It has come to my attention that a certain group of women are using the New Madrid County Soil and Water Conservation office as a place to conduct activities promoting a certain political agenda. The group calls themselves the New Madrid County Ag Women and they tend to lean toward a Republican-led operation. I believe any kind of political activity, including using phones, office equipment or any other properties of a federal or state facility is illegal. This is the second time I've contacted SpeakOut about this subject and I feel maybe Mr. Jensen has something to do with blocking this on purpose, since it has to do with a Republican situation. Let's be fair and report all the SpeakOuts. Can someone please fill me in on if this is going on. If it is, it's illegal.

Do you have some kind of rule that you're not allowed to put in the baseball standings on Monday and Tuesday? You call yourself a newspaper and you have a sports section, but basically it sucks. I know you won't print this, but this is my 2-cents worth.

Is there anyone out there who builds picnic tables reasonably? If so, please call 472-0957.

This is to a person I know. If you're messing with my sister's husband, I'm going to call the welfare office on you.
