BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. - Olive Ilene Eldridge, 84, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died at 11:42 a.m. Jan. 26, 2005, at the Great Rivers Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born Oct. 31, 1929, at Supply, daughter of the late Grady Cephues and Cassie Jane Roberts Curtis, she lived most of her life in Charleston where she worked for the fitting department of the Brown Shoe Company until her retirement. She was a member of the Gravel Ridge Baptist Church.

Her first husband, Cleo Gerald Cockrum, preceded her in death. In 1951, she married Cleveland Presnell Eldridge who died May 8, 1979.

Also preceding her in death were three sons, Cleo Robert Cockrum, Lester Lloyd Cockrum and Larry Ray Eldridge; and three brothers.

Survivors include: four sons, Wilbur Dean Cockrum and David Presnell Eldridge of Denver, Donald Harry Eldridge of Gosnell and Thomas Harvey Eldridge of Warren, Ohio; one brother, Jim Curtis of Vedersburg, Ind.; two sisters, Olga England of Sacramento, Calif., and Sylvia Ezell of Pocahontas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Saturday until time for a memorial service at 11 a.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Joey Manning of East Prairie, Mo., will officiate.
