Billy Myrick

SIKESTON - Billy L. Myrick, 79, formerly of Barstow, Calif., died at 6:10 a.m. Oct. 30, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 3, 1924, in Clovis, N.M., daughter of the late Charles and Lena Wedeman Orr, she attended Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Barstow.

On May 6, 1953, in Bernalilio, N.M., she married Forrest Myrick who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Carl and Barbara Scott of Summit Hill, Pa., and Richard R. Myrick of Lompoc, Calif.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lena and Roy Farmer and Amanda Myrick of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Zachary Bolden of Sikeston, Richard "Cliff" Myrick of Peoria, Ill., and Rae Lyn Myrick of Crystal River, Fla.; and one great-granddaughter, Keri Myrick of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kerry Bolden; one son, Buddy Myrick; and seven sisters.

Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until service time at 2 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. A.J. Wollenburg, pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church, will officiate.

Burial will be scheduled at a later date.
