Here we go again with some liberal idiot blaming the world's problems on the Republicans. First of all, you're an idiot. Now I will move on. If it were not for the stupidity of Bill "cigar" Clinton and his liberal-ass friends in the House at the time, we would have taken care of Bin-Laden and not had this terrible 9/11 attack. Bill Clinton is nothing more that a womanizing, lying, cheating idiot. George Bush is worried about Americans. John Kerry is scared to death of war, so if he is president we will be stepped on every day of the year and never respond to anything. We have to step up and continue on this path of fighting terrorism where it is materializing before it hits home again.

I live in an apartment complex where we aren't allowed to keep children or babysit. Why are the VNA or other companies sending girls over here who bring their children with them to run and play while they're supposed to be working? This happened on May 16. Senior citizens live here and don't need to be bothered with people's children. I love children, but I want to be bothered with my own, not somebody else's.

There is a river in Morehouse by Poplar Street and when you look out, all you see are a bunch of kids fishing and stuff. There is no adult supervision. I am scared to death that one of these children is going to fall in the river and get hurt or drown. A man slipped and fell in a few years ago, and I'm afraid that will happen to one of these kids. The Morehouse police need to post a "keep out" or "no trespassing" sign out there. Can anything be done about this?

I read W.T. Woods' poison pen letter in the Standard. I can't believe it! I thought he'd been dead for 20 years. Where's he been? Boy, does he come out with a lot of crap. Nobody should be allowed to write things like that about our President.

Let's all go and apologize to the citizens and terrorists and everybody else in Iraq for the way our military treated the prisoners by putting panties on their heads. Let's forget about our people who got killed and the man who was beheaded.

I am the person whose story appeared in the Standard Democrat for having geriatric surgery to correct a problem with obesity. I want to SpeakOut in behalf of our city manager and Sikeston Street Department. Thank you for all your efforts and the progress you are making in cleaning up the city, keeping the streets and vacant lots cleaned and mowed in spite of all the rain. I appreciate your good work and effort.
