Rex Anthony

DEXTER - Rex Leon Anthony, 85, died Nov. 1, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born July 3, 1917, in Dexter, son of the late Gladys Anthony Fritts, he was a retired farmer.

On Jan. 21, 1936, in Dexter, he married Myrtle Glendle Crain who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Donald Ray Anthony and Jimmie W. Anthony of Dexter; one daughter, Ruth Burner of Bernie; one brother, Earl Dean Fritts of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Rex Anthony Jr. and Harold Gene Anthony in infancy; one brother, Carlton Fritts; one sister, Bonnie Jueles; and by one great-grandchild.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
