SIKESTON - Deani Hurst and Steven Thompson are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born at 2:14 p.m. May 12, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Kobi DeAnn Thompson weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 1/2-inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Ruby Ann Hurst of Blodgett and the late Donald C. Hurst.

Thompson, son of Aron and Annie Thompson of Essex, is a customer service representative for Redneck Trailer Supplies.

GIDEON - Gary and Teresa Cagle are the parents of their sixth child, fifth son, born at 10:47 a.m. May 13, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Layton Shay Cagle weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 1/2-inches long.

Mrs. Cagle is the daughter of Bobby and Georgia Penrod.

Cagle is the son of James Cagle and Marilyn and Bobby Barks.

Mr. and Mrs. Cagle are factory workers.

MOREHOUSE - Amber Sutton is the mother of her first child, a son, born at 7:18 p.m. May 13, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Nathaniel James Sutton weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 18 3/4-inches long.

Grandparents are Tim and Donna Brashears, Kevin Sutton and Sheila Rodgers of Morehouse.

Great-grandparents are Jimmie Sutton of Morehouse, Neva Williams of Ohio and Kenneth Brown of St. Louis.

KEWANEE - Shane Eric and Lauren Williams are the parents of their second child, first son, born at 5:05 p.m. May 13, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Evan Walters Williams weighed 9 pounds, 12 ounces and was 21 7/8-inches long.

The former Lauren Walters, Mrs. Williams is the daughter of Linda Walters of Newbern, Tenn., and the late Ell Walters. She is a parent educator for New Madrid R-1 Schools.

Williams, son of Don and Judy Williams of Ankeny, Iowa, is a minister for the Lilbourn Church of Christ.

SIKESTON - David and Florence Burnes are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born at 8:21 p.m. May 14, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Miraha Payten Burnes weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and was 18 1/2-inches long.

Mrs. Burnes, daughter of Carliss and Agatha Varnadore, is a licensed practical nurse and works as a pediatric nurse.

Burnes, son of Bob and Betty Burnes, is a termite technician.
