Wreck blamed on foggy conditions

BENTON -- Two Charleston residents were injured in a

one-vehicle accident caused by fog Friday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol a

vehicle driven by Charles Morris, 78, failed to

negotiate a curve in the fog and ran off the road,

striking a tree five miles east of Benton on Missouri

77.

Charles Morris received moderate injuries and

Elizabeth Morris, 72, received serious injuries. Both

were taken to the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
