SIKESTON - Barbara Ann Ramsey celebrated her seventh birthday anniversary at a party Sunday. Those present were Mary Lou O'Connor, Margaret Ann Lathom, Eleanor Sue Bailey, Ann Schulte, Margaret and Mary Ellen Kindred, Marilyn Malcolm, Greta Faye Terrell, Greta Marilyn Ables, Jackie Meldrum and Katherine Ann Kindred.

SIKESTON - It was reported from the Sikeston Ceramics plant today that it is in operation in some departments and it is expected full production in all departments will be resumed by the first of next week.

SIKESTON - J.C. Williams, 6, didn't believe the fact that he has only one leg was a disadvantage during Saturday's Kenny Rogers Cerebral Palsy Center Charity Walk. Members of the Eagles Club participating in the walk were so impressed they donated $50 in his name.


WASHINGTON - Social Security taxes will increase next year by about $100 for the average worker and almost $200 for those paying the maximum payroll levy, the government says.

SIKESTON - Homecoming spirits ran high during a pep rally and bonfire Thursday night at the Sikeston Sports Complex. The Sikeston student body is gearing up for Friday's homecoming game against Kennett. The Bulldogs will enter that game with an undefeated record, 5-0.


SIKESTON - Tina Collins was named 1991 Homecoming queen at half time of the Sikeston Bulldogs football game against Kennett Friday night. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Collins of Sikeston. Her escort was Deryl Gardner. The Bulldogs won the game, 41-0.
