Terrorist attack denounced

In the past few weeks we have all witnessed the devastating effects of terrorism in our country. It is important for all Americans to show their support to the victims of this devastation. It is time for us to stand up and tell the terrorists that we, the citizens of the United States of America, will not tolerate attacks on our people or our government. As citizens, we must also support the actions our government must take to eradicate the threat of terrorism once and for all. We cannot give up on the freedoms that so many gave their lives to preserve.

To that end, the Sikeston Optimist Club passed a resolution denouncing the actions of the terrorists and those that support the activities of terrorists. We also pledge our support to the victims of the terrorists and to the government of the United States.
