Call 471-6636

Can you print the dates and times the Clydesdales are going to be in Sikeston at the Factory Outlet Mall? I threw my paper away and don't remember when it is. I know it's in December, but I don't remember the dates.

The Clydesdales will be in Sikeston from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 19-23: Dec. 19, Sikeston Elks Club; Dec. 20, Sikeston Airport; Dec. 21, Sikeston Factory Outlet Stores; Dec. 22, Downtown Sikeston; and Dec. 23, South Pointe Shopping Center with a special photo session.

If you think for one minute that if someone stepped into a pothole in the parking lot of the post office and injured themselves that the post office would not be sued because they do not own it, you're nuts. The postal service is the reason people are there. They are liable.

This is to the person who said you must be saved, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit to get into heaven. If you really believe that, I've got an oceanside condominium here in Sikeston that I would like to sell you real cheap. How about all the millions of people who have never heard about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in this world? Tell me.

In reference to "Another interpretation" which was in SpeakOut today, the answer to the caller who asked if you have to be baptized in order to go to heaven, you only have to be saved. The thief on the cross did not have time to be baptized and Jesus said to him, "Today, thou shalt be with me in paradise."

Every man and woman has their own interpretation of the Bible. Yes, the Bible says you must be saved before you can get into heaven. I personally don't feel that you have to be baptized or filled with the Holy Spirit in order to go to heaven. Everybody's religion is different. Everybody thinks their religion is the correct way. But remember, only you have to answer to God in the end, and nobody else.

I'd live to give you some scriptures on baptism. You must be baptized, according to St. Mark 16:16 and to do so, you must obey, Matthew 28:19, it says in the name (one), not names. Father, Son and Holy Ghost is one name. Read Acts 2:38; Acts 18:16; and Acts 19:5 which tells of the original baptism that took place.

I want to SpeakOut regards to Mike Jensen's ad in the Nov. 28 Standard Democrat, "The system should protect the children." I know of a child who is in an abusive situation and Family Services has not removed this child. His mother has been cited for hit and run, arrested for drunken driving while the child was in the car, and yet Family Services did nothing about it. There are other children in foster care who their parents should have no rights to, but yet they get their rights back anyway. These people should think of what is in the best interest of the children and not the parents.

Would anybody in the area have work for 13-year-old girl who is poor? I could work afternoons after school.
