Speakout 7/21

Wednesday, July 21, 2004

This is to my relatives, my neighbors and my friends. Any time I purchase something, you always want to use it. Well, the time has come, I'm not loaning it out anymore. You make more money than I do. I have to save up to buy this item so now you either rent it or purchase your own. I have loaned stuff out and people have returned them in not as good condition as when they borrowed it. So now you're on your own. Please do not ask to borrow it anymore.

Mike, we would like for you to do an article on Federal Bill 602P - mail charge, where the federal government is going to charge us 5 cents to e-mail and then send it to the post office, who is not doing anything.

I live in Charter Oak, which is a little town about three miles past Canalou. In the last three weeks, we have had two little dogs disappear. One was a black dachshund and the other was a black and white spotted rat terrier. These were our pets. My daughter had the terrier (a little baby) and my son had the dachshund. We kind of live off the road and I don't know who would have taken them, but if anyone has seen our pets or if you have them, please return them. My kids are gone for the summer and will be back home in a couple of weeks. They will be heartbroken if their dogs aren't here when they come home. The dachshund got hurt a few weeks ago and we want to make sure she is getting the medical attention she needs. If anyone has information, please call (573) 667-5952. I would appreciate it if anybody could help or bring the dogs back.

I have been reading SpeakOut and would like to say this. We are supposed to vote because we're Americans. Well then, let's do it. As for the war, let's just blow the hell out of them and be done with it. Get the boys out of there and just blow them up. I am tired of hearing people gripe about the Democrats, the Republicans. If you're a Democrat, vote it. If you're a Republican, vote for it.

I just read W.T. Woods letter in the July 12 paper and I was so glad that he put all those things in there about Ronald Reagan, because everybody has been bragging so much about everything he did but they didn't tell the real story. Another thing Reagan did was to cut out the Social Security increases. We would get it in January and July and we don't get the July one now, let alone that we get so little now that when we get our insurance supplement, we're in the hole because it increases, too.

Old W.T. Woods, I have never run into a person quite like him. He used to blame Reagan for too much rain - or not enough rain. Everything was Reagan's fault. I wonder what will be his answer on judgment day when the Almighty asks him what good works he has done. He is some guy, let me tell you.
