Wild Eyes roll to shutout victory

SIKESTON -- Results of Friday's Sikeston Area Youth Baseball play were as follows.

SIX-YEAR-OLD LEAGUE

731 Realty 6

Ultimate Flooring 5

Colton Davis went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a triple and drove home two runs to lead the 731 Realty offense. Whitney Gaines also went 3-for-3 with a double and two singles.

731 Realty's Torrie Helms had one hit and sparkled on defense with three putouts.

Trevor McClain led Ultimate, which fell just short with a four-run last-inning comeback, with three hits including a triple and a home run, while Tristin Zimmerman added two hits.

MUSIAL LEAGUE

Nunnelee Funeral 11

Steward Steel 8

Lucas Houchin picked up the win and led Nunnelee with two hits, including a home run.

Connor McGillivray doubled twice and singled and Josh Hampton doubled and homered for Steward Steel, which outhit Nunnelee 7-3 in the losing effort.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Wild Eyes 12

Sikeston Auto Services 0

Pitchers Wesley Glaus, Colton Young and Jimmy Obermark combined for the shutout.

Obermark ripped a grand slam home run and Glaus also homered for Wild Eyes. Josh Williams chipped in with two hits in four trips.

KSIM 10

Starter Tanner Bryant got the win with relief help from Ross Bohannon and Brady Culver.

Blake Newman went 3-for-4; Bryant and Bohannon 2-for-4. Ray Clark homered for KSIM, as did Cody Rice for Lewis.

Ethan Browning, Alec Burden and Kyle Brashear collected a hit apiece for Lewis.
