SIKESTON - Lottie Lora Byrd, 84, died May 14, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, of injuries sustained in a fall at her home.

Born Dec. 4, 1918, in Fornfelt, daughter of the late Harrison and Allie Taylor Spradlin, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. She was a self-employed beautician and had also been employed by the International Shoe Factory in Sikeston before retiring.

On Aug. 20, 1938, she married Edgar Moril Byrd who preceded her in death on July 18, 1986.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Arnold Stone of Sikeston; two brothers, Charles Spradlin of Scott City and M.A. "Pete" Spradlin of Potosi; four grandchildren and their spouses, Arnie and Dottie Stone, Todd and Lisa Stone and Scott "Andy" and Tammy Stone of Sikeston and Penny and Mike Shelton of Charlotte, N.C.; and nine great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. William Koch, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Sandra Schaller, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church, and the Rev. A.J. Wollenburg, pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Arnie Stone, Todd Stone, Andy Stone, Mike Shelton, Trey Stone and Bobby Greenfield.
