Groesbeck - Bryan

SIKESTON -- Lori Lea Groesbeck and Jeffrey Allen Bryan were married in a 4 p.m. ceremony April 5, 2003, at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church before the Rev. Victor Marshall of Sikeston.

The new Mrs. Bryan is the daughter of Julie Miller of Sikeston and the bridegroom is the son of Alice Ward of Sikeston.

Danny Marshall, uncle of the bride, was music coordinator. Tape selections included "How Do You Fall in Love?" by Alabama; "From a Distance" by Bette Midler; "I Finally Found Someone" by Bryan Adams and Barbra Streisand; and "Groovy Kind of Love" by Phil Collins. A country-style wedding march was played.

Escorted by her cousin, Micheal Helms of Sikeston, the bride wore a white sleeveless symphony dress designed with a V-neckline. The bodice was embellished with pearl-like sequins and the cut-out back featured 22 buttons trailing to the full bottom of the bell skirt, which was complemented with 13 satin stripes. To complete her ensemble, the bride wore a full length crown style Victorian bridal veil and satin slippers. She carried a bouquet of white daisies, four white roses and a touch of purple iris.

Jennifer Brown of Dexter served as maid of honor and bridesmaid was LaChrista Dunn of Sikeston, friends of the bride. Flower girl was Torrie Helms of Sikeston, cousin of the bride.

The bridesmaids wore long purple formal dresses with beaded straps and matching jackets. Each carried a bouquet of long stemmed purple irises tied with white ribbons.

Bobby Bryan of Fruitland attended his brother as best man and Steve Oakes, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, served as groomsman. Ring bearer was Jonathan Bryan of Fruitland, nephew of the bridegroom and Darryl Cochran of Sikeston, cousin of the bridegroom, served as usher.

The men in the wedding party wore black lapel tuxedos with rose boutonnieres.

Brittany Helms of East Prairie, cousin of the bride, was candlelighter. Photographer was Connie Marshall of Bertrand, aunt of the bride; and Jill Helms of Sikeston, cousin of the bride, was videographer.

A cake and punch reception followed the ceremony in the church fellowship hall.

Jennifer Brown of Dexter hosted a bridal shower Feb. 23 at the Best Western Hotel in Sikeston.

Mr. and Mrs. Bryan are making their home in Sikeston.
