I just read the back of my Rural Missouri. The annual meeting of the Semo Cooperative is close at hand but I noticed on the back page that there are several candidates who are running. As a matter of fact, I can't remember the last time we had this many candidates running and I've been a member for over 20 years. Can someone tell me what is going on? This would help me when I go to vote.

I have a problem with this comment about a good choice or bad choice with Charleston Public Schools and someone is saying that we need to spend the money wisely, whenever all the money for the play was from donations and the money comes from the state. They need to figure out what they want to say and get their facts straight and not write silliness.

I'm sitting back in my easy chair thinking about how good a police officer we have that is running our town. Juden is the most wonderful person we could have here. He knows the people, knows the problems and knows how to attack it and take care of it. We all have to get together and take care of that gentleman because he's the most wonderful person we have. I think Juden is the best person I have ever seen. While I'm sitting back in my easy chair acting like an undercover agent, go over there and look at those drug dealers and go bust them, they take care of me even though I'm not a police officer. Isn't it wonderful how they take care of the regular citizen?

A blonde-headed girl used to work at Big Lots. She was a very nice and friendly girl. Does anybody know where she works now?

Someone said Charter Communications is leaving Sikeston because the customers are complaining. Sorry, dear. But I work hard for where my money goes to. I want good service and if I don't get good service, I am definitely going to complain. There is a lot more to it that you don't know about. But if I don't get good service, I'm going to complain, when I'm the one paying for it.

Governor Holden is adding taxes again. Can't he get it through his thick head, no more taxes. Sen. Dole Childers can cut his salary and everyone else in Jefferson City to balance the total waste we have since Holden took office. This crook governor we have has the gall to close labs in Poplar Bluff and Springfield and turn around and build a $30 million health department. Guess where? You are right. Jefferson City.
