Bombers lose on the road to Fulton

FULTON, Ky. -- The Bootheel Bombers dropped their first game in four decisions to the Fulton Railroaders, losing 4-2 on Monday at Fulton.

Thomas Harrison picked up the win, Fulton's first in six outings, giving up one run in seven innings. Nick Latimer relieved and earned the save.

The Bombers Brent Telano's double was the lone extra-base hit on the night.

The Bombers (4-5) suffered their third-straight loss on the heels of a four-

game win streak.

Also, in Kitty League action on Monday, the Farmington Firebirds took over first place with a 4-3, 13-inning win over the Union City Greyhounds. Caleb Cooley got the win in relief.

On Tuesday, Farmington strengthened its hold on first place with an 8-2 win over Union City.

John Mitchell led the Firebirds with two hits, including a triple. Justin Green was the winning hurler.

Sikeston travels to Union City for a single game on Thursday.
