Old Jimmy Carter told us a long time ago we were running out of oil, too many vehicles for the amount of oil we had. Told us we were going to have to go mules and horses or use windpower or something. The time has come now. These big cars we have, we are going to have to move into town or get us a horse to get to work. The good times are over.

In the case of Terry Schiavo. People may think that just because you are in a coma you can not hear, you cannot see, you cannot feel pain. You do not know what is going on around you. I can tell you as someone who has been in a coma for months and then by the grace of God and the doctors will even tell you not because of anything medically that they did, I returned. Yes we feel pain. Anyone who says you don't feel pain is a liar or has never been in a coma or they would know. You hear. It is like you are in a state very sleepy but you want to wake up. Even in the deepest coma you can still hear. After some months in a coma I came back. Had it not been for my family fighting my husband I would have been dead because he wanted me to be null and void. People need to understand that we are not God, we do not have the right to take life from anyone. When you start saying someone cannot feel unless you have been there you need to keep your opinion to yourself. I'm now a productive person that had he gotten way I would have been dead. So pray about your decision and think hard because you don't know unless you have been there.

Can you tell me if the subscribers of the Standard Democrat will be given the opportunity to renew their subscriptions and give a free a subscription to a new subscriber?

Did it surprise anybody that the judge Bill Clinton appointed decided to let the woman die? If he had any character about him Bill Clinton wouldn't have nominated him. He has no value of life.

I'm calling about the Speakout in the March 22 paper where the little 11-

year-old grandson got whipped so hard at school it left whelps on his bottom. I don't believe school officials or anybody should whip a kid that hard and I agree that is child abuse.
