Man dies following two-car accident

CARUTHERSVILLE -- A Tennessee resident sustained fatal injuries in a two-vehicle accident Sunday.

According to the Missouri State Highway patrol, at 7:59 p.m., four miles southeast of Caruthersville, an accident occurred a vehicles driven by Marvin E. Crowell, 63, of Dyer, Tenn., and another driven by Heath A. Dycus, 30, of Dyersburg, Tenn., were headed southbound in Pemiscot County on State Highway 155. Dycus' vehicle rear-ended Crowell's vehicle.

Crowell was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene at 8:33 p.m. by Pemiscot County Coroner Jim Brimhall.

Crowell's wife, Cynthia Crowell, 44, who was a passenger in the vehicle, received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
