Cable TV company expands service

SIKESTON - NewWave Communications has purchased Enstar Cable TV in Dexter and Malden.

"With an estimated subscriber count of 5,500, I am very excited to be part of these communities and look forward to bringing unprecedented service and advanced products to these deserving populations," said Greg Lathum, general manager and vice president of NewWave Communications.

"Our name says it all," said NewWave Communications President and Chief Operating Officer James Gleason. "With nearly 13 million dollars worth of improvements from digital cable to high speed Internet, our customers will finally begin to experience a 'new wave' of technological advancements, customer service and enhanced programming options."

As a result of the acquisition, NewWave subscribers can expect new products and first-rate customer service, he added. "With over 20 years of outstanding cable television management, NewWave Communications looks forward to serving Dexter and Malden. We will continue to take steps which will ensure that our customers have the very best in home entertainment, today and in the future," he said.

NewWave Communications serves communities throughout the Midwest including Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas.
