DEXTER -- Jasper "J.D." Troxell, 82, died April 19, 2005, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center at Dexter.

Born Nov. 28, 1922, at Red Bud, Ark., son of the late Fleary LyCirgus and Nellie Hughes Dean Troxell, he was the former owner of Dexter Aircraft and a former crop duster. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II.

In July 1958 at Bloomfield, he married Evadean Colyer who survives of the home in Dexter.

Other survivors include: two sons, James Dennis Troxell of Dexter and Mark Alan Cox of Puxico; two daughters, Patty Shell and Peggy Kinder of Dexter; four sisters, Cordia Seabaugh of Fredericktown, Marie Whybark of Carmi, Ill., Lola Mae Mossman of Milan, Ill., and Doris Gaines of Bloomfield; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

One son, Michael Cox, and three sisters, Reba Orena Murray, Medrith Olevia Walker and Geroldia Odean Hicks, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
