COOTER -- Anita Joyce Parks Ray, 60, formerly of Charleston, died at 10:54 p.m. Nov. 9, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Nov. 2, 1945, in Dorena, Miss., to the late Harry A. and Margaret M. Campbell Parks, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County and had lived in Cooter for the past two years. She was retired from Brown Shoe Company in Charleston and was of the Methodist belief.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Larry Wayne Busby of Anna, Ill., and Faydreia and Gary Davis of Cooter; one brother, Donnie Parks of Potosi; two sisters, Sylvia Carden of East Prairie and Shirley Neal of Cooter; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

One brother, Larry Parks; and three sisters, Peggy Bennett and two infant sisters; preceded her in death.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. Vernon Pritchett will officiate.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Larry Wayne Busby, Brian Busby, Matthew Davis, Gary Davis, Bob Weaver, Donald Eugene Bennett and Dennis Carden.
