Peck Eftink

PORTAGEVILLE - Vincent "Peck" Eftink, 75, died July 24, 2003, in Van Buren.

Born April 6, 1928, in Portageville, son of the late Henry Bernard and Dricka Benssink Eftink, he was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

On May 2, 1951, in Leopold, he married Wilma Ann Jansen who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Duane and Theresa Eftink and Rodney Eftink of Portageville and Bruce and Minette Eftink of Memphis, Tenn.; five daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Greg Burgess of Oklahoma City, Okla., Gina and Bob Plasmeier of St. Louis, Annette and Paul Pruett of Crown Point, Ind., and Denise and Bob Darst and Darla and Jim Priggel of Portageville; one sister, Mary Jo Farrar of Higden, Ark.; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Marie Eftink; one sister, Margaret Hulshof; and three brothers, Jerome Eftink, Martin Eftink and Bernard Eftink.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Swalina officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
