Syrean Gaddis

KENNETT - Syrean Gaddis, 78, died March 2, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 4, 1926, in Bell, Tenn., daughter of the late Vernon and Sarah Gaddis, she lived in Missouri for more than 45 years and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include: one son, John Sutton Jr. of New Madrid; three daughters, Francis Houston of New Madrid, Dorothy Grant of Caruthersville and Mildred Marie Joyner of Gobler; one sister, Ernestine Butler of Benton Harbor, Mich.; and 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at Friendship Church of God in Howardville. Elder Marvel Cranford will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in New Madrid.

Williams Funeral Home of Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
