I think Ron Greenlee's letters should be put in the Wednesday paper. Everyone in town should read what he has to say.

I work for a company that used to value their employees' opinions about who would get hired there. We used to be able to put in people's names and they would be interviewed and many were hired. Now they have a human resource department that does not value our opinions. They think we're dumb and won't hire anybody's name that we put in. It's like a big red check mark where they don't want to touch them. We are still pretty smart and are proud of what we've worked for and still want to have good workers here. Our opinions do mean something - we are not stupid.

When I got off work about 11:30 p.m. April 23, on my way home I passed a little boy walking down Malone Avenue. He seemed to be about 9 years old. When I asked him what he was doing, he told me he lived down the street so I told him to go home. When I headed down toward my house again, a police officer passed me and they went by the little boy, turned around again and drove off. I don't feel like they were protecting or serving him. The public should know about this.

You can call DPS at 471-4711 and speak to an administrative officer to file a complaint. Your information will remain confidential.

My husband and I came up here a couple of weeks ago and are considering moving here. My family lives here and I am trying to convince him to move here. I'm driving east at Pine and Main street, and here comes a whole wad of trash across the intersection. We were sitting on the porch at my grandmother's house on Elm Street, and here comes trash along with the wind. It's a trashy place around here. You might want to think about that.
