Helen E. Weeks.

EAST PRAIRIE - Helen E. Weeks, 82, died at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 8, 2007, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born March 17, 1925, in Clinton, Ky., to the late Elvin and Jessie Fuller Evans, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County where she was a member of the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie.

On April 24, 1973, she married Ralph Weeks who preceded her in death on July 14, 2001.

She was also preceded her in death by one son, Donnie Smith; and three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include: one son, Larry Smith of East Prairie; one daughter and son-in-

law, Judy and Harold Heaton of Dudley; one stepson, Freddie Weeks of Lakeland, Fla.; and eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Buddy Heaton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
