Keith Day

SIKESTON -- Keith Day, 80, died April 20, 2005, at his rural Sikeston home.

Born Feb. 14, 1925, in Bloomfield, to the late Frank H. and Lela L. Neal Day, he was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. A graduate of Brosley High School, he attended Southeast Missouri State University for two years then joined the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a self-

employed farmer and a railroad salvage dealer before retiring.

On June 6, 1949, at Las Vegas, he married Patsy Ruth Wilkerson, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: three sons, Neal D. Day of Cape Girardeau, Noel Allen Day of St. Louis and Joel Keith Day of Sikeston; two sisters-in-law, Melba Day of Poplar Bluff and Mary Ida Day of Sunny Meade, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Three brothers, Vernon L. Day, John H. Day and Neal Day, and one sister, Francis Hearn, preceded him in death.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at the Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Lasley, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
