Maxine Eddy

LAFORGE - Maxine Eddy, 82, died March 25, 2008, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 26, 1925, at Clarksville, Ark., daughter of the late Edwin and Lydia Melson Hartlein, she was a member of the Church of Christ in New Madrid.

On Nov. 30, 1940, at Caruthersville, she married Charles Louis Eddy, and he preceded her in death on July 9, 1983.

One daughter, Shirley Faye Eddy; one brother; and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Betty Lou Eddy of New Madrid, Charles and Joyce Eddy of Chillicothe and Jerry and Mary Catherine Eddy of Dexter; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Ed Thomason officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
