Why are the tennis lights at the complex set to the on position yet they do not turn on? Is there a trick or do they turn on at a certain time or am I missing something?

"They''re on a timer," confirmed Jiggs Moore, park division director. "People were turning on the lights and leaving them on all night so we had to put them on a timer." As a variety of things can cause the timers to get off their programmed schedules, Moore said the park division will check and adjust them light timers.

I was just calling about the article, "Missouri town fights obesity." It is a minority thing to lose weight, they got a grant from the state of Missouri Health Department. But what about the poor, fat white people? I thought Missouri didn''t have a lot of money and here they are spending all this money. You have got to be kidding me.

Still more in the paper about the Governor of Missouri and his newly "reformed" Medicaid Bill! I don''t know why anyone is wasting time complaining about him or his bill ( we all know where he can stick that now)....we all know nothing will be done about him or his bill. Hell , that's what we all get for electing someone who hasn''t even gotten out and worked a day in his life! (an honest days work that is). I think we need to have another Boston Tea Party and overthrow the government of today and get rid of everyone in Congress and the Parliament! Haven''t you ever noticed how its always the same names running or in office, family members! Maybe the next election we all need to really think twice here and vote the way our gut tells us to, just cause "its good for our system."

I was out on the east part of town around Broadway and ever since we have had trash pickup, we always get it on Monday and Thursday. That is when all the holidays fall. We get all of them. I think they need to switch it once in a while and get it going the other way. It would be more fair. We have so much trash it is pitiful.

I was wondering why the bank put the mail in the mailbox that isn''t local. It takes three or four days for it to come back. It has to go from here to Cape and back. If they put it in the local mail it would probably get it the next day. I was wondering about this.

A traffic study needs to be done at the corner of Northwest and Salcedo Road. That is where the Middle School traffic is and the people coming from the westend of town are traveling. Also it needs to be studied at the corner of Salcedo Road and Kingshighway - this is where McKinnie''s Market is a the four-way stop. Between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 the traffic is backed up awful. I think a study needs to be done.

I had some so-called friends who sold us a lot they did not own. It was scam. Now the two husbands are very ill. I''m wondering how are the wives feeling. What you do to others will usually come back to you. Have you not heard of the golden rule?
